SCOUTING REPORT ON JERMEL
JENKINS: Jermel Jenkins is
an Extremely quick,
pass-first guard with a
solid handle and outside
jumper... Consummate team
player with the ability to
make his teammates better...
excellent on-ball defender…
had a strong senior year
despite the decline in
minutes due to hand injury
that has now fully healed...
played great games against
Purdue (15 points) and BYU
during the NCAA tournament
(13 points) on national
television... played at
madison square garden
against Siena and was second
in scoring with 16
points...tied career high 7
three pointers in a game
against St Peters on senior
night to end his career at
home... key factor of
leading the Gaels to being
the conference
champions...gave the great
leadership well needed for
the team this year as they
finished in the NCAA, 1st in
scoring, 1st in assist, 2nd
in field goal percentage...
even though it was a down
year in minutes, his
contributions this seasons
were outstanding especially
on the defensive end.
Finished career being #1 all
time 3 point field goals
made, averaged over 20 wins
a season for career, and one
of best defensive players in
Iona history.
