CITY - PERUGIA, ITALY & ROME, ITALY
Famous art city rich in history and monuments, is an important cultural and economic destination for many tourists and students. It is home to two prestigious universities: the Università degli Studi, founded in 1308, and the University for Foreigners, one of the two in Italy. Perugia offers a great number of attractions for tourists: in fact there are many possible routes to discover the beauty of the city. Among those already mentioned, we can include the Rocca Paolina, where events and markets are quite often held, the walls and arches - ancient access to the city centre, still well preserved, as the Etruscan Arch or Trasimena Door, the Sciri tower in Via dei Priori, the only remaining tower in the city after the fighting and the fury of the papal repression, the National Gallery of Umbria, which contains numerous works of art, the Archaeological Museum, which contains among other finds the Tables of Gubbio (Tabulae Iguvinæ ), the only relic of the Umbrian language known to us. There are many churches that are worth a visit to Perugia, starting with the Duomo in Piazza IV Novembre. Right on the square there is the Palazzo dei Priori, the Sala dei Notari, and right at its center there is the monumental Fontana Maggiore, designed by Fra Bevignate and carved by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano
We will finish our European experience with our departure from Belgrade, Serbia on July 22, 2012.
MEALS & EXTRA-CURRICULER ACTIVITES
All players meals will be managed by each participant, at their own expenses, the staff will offer city tours and the participation in some Parties. There will also be some restaurants where we have arranged for participants to eat cheaply.
There will be time scheduled to be able to tour the local sites as well so you will get the most out of your experience in Europe as possible.
Participants will have the opportunity to organize their daytime on their own (knowing right from the start the training timetable for the whole week), allowing them to take part in other activities. In fact Perugia, which is a university town, offers many cultural opportunities, tourist attractions and entertainment.
During 2 nights of the camp's week players can participate in music jam sessions at the hotel, where Coach Charlie Yelverton will play the Sax.
During your stayng in Perugia you will also find the way to have fun, there will be concerts in various spots inside the center and it will be a great chance to meet new people and enjoy your time in Italy.
